God is Love

If you don’t have love, you don’t have anything!

As I listen to Gospel artist, Dietrick Haddon’s song Aint Got Nothing, I think about my love for God. The song simply says you can have money cars and fame, but if you don’t have Love you don’t have anything. Not the love from a relationship with a man or woman. Not the love from a friend. The love he’s talking about is God!

                               Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
                                                                                -1 John 4:8 NIV

God shows unconditional love and ‘is” love Himself. 1 John 4:8 states it clearly that God is Love. If you don’t have God, if you are not in an intimate relationship with God, you don’t know what true love is.
How can you experience love or truly express love to another person, if you don’t know God? Love is:


4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails…..

The love expressed above is inspired by the Love that God shows us. God Loves us like crazy and adores and cherishes us. He wants us to feel loved so we could share that same love with someone else. Before you share this love with others, you have to receive love yourself. How do you receive this love?

Get Saved! Get into a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Become a Child of God!

 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Once this is achieved, you can experience the fullness of God’s love. Whether you get to know God or not, He still loves you. He may not love the sin that you do, but God will ALWAYS love you. He wants you to have an abundant life. He wants you to experience success and greatness. He wants you to get the victory over all your situations. He wants the best for you. Now don’t take His love for granted. Although He loves, He’s also a Judge!

You not giving your life over to God will cause you to be judged when your time comes and you not accepting Him before it too late will send you to hell.

Don’t go to hell! Get saved. Saved from a world of unlove. A world of hate, torture, pain, sadness, lies and deceit. Come into a relationship with Love and you will experience just that. LOVE! A love that will keep you from harm and danger. A love that will wipe your tears, heal your heart and mend your pain. A love that will give you a life of abundance on earth and a life of royalty in heaven.

Money, cars and fame can’t bring you the joy and love that God can give you. You can have all these things and still be cold and empty inside. A void will remain until you fill it with a true fulfilling substance. That substance is God!

Come and get love! Come and experience the fullness of God’s love. Get to know what real love is!
