On Edge!

A woman called 911 at a Burger King Drive through. She insisted that an officer be sent to force Burger King to make her Western BBQ Burger the way she wanted.

The operator refused, so the woman demanded a police officer be sent to "Protect Her". The operator replied, " Protect you from what? A harmful hamburger?"

After a little more discussion, the woman eventually apologized and explained that she had been going through a great deal of "relationship stress" - (Thank you Harley Storey)

Now before you write this woman off as crazy, lets look at your life and how you act when under stress.
Has there ever been a time when you lashed out at others because you have stress in your life?
Has there ever been a time when you had an attitude with everyone around you, simply because you were having a bad day?
Well, this is not fair to those who had nothing to do with your stress.
Lashing out on others will cause you to..
-not have friends
-lose friends
-have people label you as "mood crasher"
-add more things to cause you to stress
-mess up your entire day
and the list goes on...

The next time something bothers you, learn to..
- "Respond" and not "React" (there is a difference)
-let go of the problem that's causing stress if you cant solve it
-check your attitude before presenting yourself to others
-if you cant check your attitude before going into public, excuse
yourself from others until you "check it"

Ways to check your attitude...
(Natural)
- get some fresh air
- count down from 100 until you're calm
- take deep breaths
- dont focus on your problem. This will cause you to "MAGNIFY" your
problems which will make them seem bigger than they really are
- tell yourself a funny joke
- laugh out loud until you realize how funny you look, and this will
brighten your mood
- take a walk
- sip on a cold beverage
- go smell your favorite perfume, spray or scent
(Spiritual)
- Cast your cares on God because He cares about you ( 1 Peter 5:7)
- Cast your burdens on the Lord, and He will sustain you. He will keep you from being
overtaken with your stresses. (Psalm 55:22 )
- Love God and keep His law and you will find peace ( Psalm 119:165 )
- Keep your mind stayed on the Lord and trust that He will help you in every aspect of
your life and He will keep you in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3)
- God knows everything you need. He knows you have to pay bills, He knows you need
food in your refrigerator, he knows you need gas in your car, He knows.. Look up to
Him and His kingdom and He will give you all that you need. Meditating on this will
give you peace and rest (Matthew 6:31-34 )

Remember, Check your attitude, dont lash out at others, and learn to not bring your problems on others, look to god, Dont worry, He knows what you need...
