Testing Trials
James 1: 2-3
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing .
Be happy, be content, accept when God allows difficulties to come into your life.
Be glad when you have difficulties in your life because you know that your faith is being put to the test to see the strength of your endurance. To see if you will be patient and not be aggravated or toil when bad things come your way. To see if you can go through a hardship with a calm attitude, without complain or anger but with your mind fixated on Jesus and having an expectation that you will be relieved in due time.
To work means to act or operate effectively.
When the scripture says the trying of your faith worketh patience, what that says is when your faith is tested your faith is pushed to operate effectively. When your faith is working effectively, you will be perfect and entire, meaning you will be whole, satisfied, and complete, not wanting nothing.
When your faith is working effectively, you see your success before you “see it”. When your faith is working effectively you can be calm while the storm surrounds you because you have hope and you have knowledge and you have insight that your breakthrough is near. You have an expectation that the end of your storm is near. When your faith is operating effectively, you can stand in the fiery furnace, bounded by rope and not be afraid or dismayed because you have expectation of a Savior who is able to untie your ropes and leave you without a burn, scar or blemish. HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!
Let Patience have her perfect work. Allow these tests and the difficulties in your life because they make you stronger! Allow these trials to help kick start your faith.
When your faith is put to the test, you have the advantage of finding out the areas in which your faith is lacking.
With no money and a stack of bills to pay, if your first thought is to rob a bank, then honey you have a flaw in your faith!
If your spouse is getting on your last nerves and you settle your frustrations with alcohol or a midnight call to the hotline, then you see a flaw in your faith.
These test points out where you need more work!
Don’t be sad when you find out you need more work. Be glad that the Lord doesn’t throw you away when you are flawed. Instead he helps you to fix the areas where you lack!
Psalm 34:17-19 (King James Version)
17 The righteous cry , and the LORD heareth , and delivereth them out of all their troubles. 18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Aren’t you glad that we serve a God who hears our cries, knows our flaws, see our troubles and He is faithful to deliver us from them all? Instead of looking down upon us, despite our short comings, our God is faithful to help us out!!
HALLELUJAH!!!!
Be glad saints. Whatever we go through, whether good or bad is for our good and for His glory.
Trials and tribulations are for your good, for you learn how to have FAITH in the Lord and it’s for God’s glory for when your Faith is strengthen you are able to have hope and testify of God’s saving grace.
Amen!
Stay encouraged!! I love you all!!!
